What’s New Near Our Neighborhood?

From tasty restaurants to a planned entertainment complex, a lot of exciting businesses are opening nearby in Cypress and Tomball, both minutes away from Dellrose.

Fairfield Town Center is also the site of a new farmers market open every third Sunday of each month from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Launched by Your Neighborhood Farmers Market Association, the market features more than 30 local vendors, farm-fresh produce, food trucks and children’s activities.

For authentic Chinese cuisine, head out to Cypress where the recently opened Duck ‘N Bao, 17333 Spring Cypress Road, offers up a range of satisfying dishes, including their specialty — Peking duck. Don’t miss out on their soups, fried rice and fried noodle dishes as well as pork, beef, lamb, chicken, seafood and vegetable dishes, either.

Crispy, spicy Louisiana-style chicken and seafood can be picked up daily at Louisiana Fried Chicken and Seafood, 11931 Spring Cypress Road. The chain restaurant also offers signature Cajun dishes including shrimp po’boys, Cajun pasta, gumbo and shrimp etouffee.

Tasty bistro food and tempting treats can be found at Sleek Chocolatier & Café. which opened last December at Fairfield Town Center, 28610 Hwy. 290. The eatery serves breakfast, brunch, lunch and gourmet, organic Belgian chocolates. The menu features soups, salads, sandwiches, crepes, waffles and coffee.

Burger aficionados are in love with the smoky Angus beef bombs served up at Tejas Burger Joint in Tomball. Located at 214 W Main Street, the thick burgers are dressed up with your choice of essentials like smoked poblanos, thick-cut bacon and bleu cheese butter spread layered on a toasted brioche bun. Pair one with a shake and onion rings for an out-of-this world dining treat.

Finally, we just got news that the former Gander Mountain site located at 19820 Hempstead Highway will soon be transformed into a multi-level entertainment facility. The renovated facility will feature a two-story go kart track, bowling, virtual reality games and arcade games, axe throwing, event rooms, upscale dining and multiple bars.

So much, so close to Dellrose!
