Get Ready to Make a Splash at the Dellrose Pool this Summer

We’re excited to announce that the Dellrose community pool and splash pad are now open for the summer 2021 season. To ensure that your time spent poolside is as safe, enjoyable and fun as possible, read on for water safety considerations to keep in mind, as well as fun pool toys and accessories to help you make a splash.

Pool Safety Tips

1. Put your phone away. Pool accidents can happen in an instant; if you aren’t in the water with your children, be sure to put your phone away so that you aren’t distracted while watching them. If you must send an email or make a call, ask a friend or neighbor to stand in for a few minutes while you take care of business.

2. Have an emergency plan in place. If you and your family plan on spending a lot of time poolside this summer, be sure to locate the emergency equipment prior to using the pool. Buoys are by the water’s edge, and an emergency first-aid kit can be found in the clubhouse. If comfortable, it’s also worth spending some time learning basic CPR in the event of an emergency.

3. Talk to your kids about pool safety. As difficult and upsetting a topic drowning can be, it’s important to talk to your kids about water safety and enforce it the same way you do other house rules.
